DIY “Glitter Hair Clips”

Glitter Hair Clips

Happy Wednesday girls and guys, How is your morning going so far…?? Well I am very excited to finally post my very first DIY. I absolutely love glitter and sparkly accessories so I decided to do my very own Glitter Hair Clips. I purchashed a pack of black hair pins to do the project which is really very simple and I hope that some of you will try it. I had a lot of fun doing it.

1. The things you will need to complete this DIY are: a set or sets of plain hair clips, glitter nail polish clean area to dry hair clips. I purchased my hair clips from a cute discount store in Staten Island, and the nail polishes I used were, blue glitter from Art Decor, Pink glitter from Nyx, and the light multi glitter from LA nail polish.

2. After you have put your items togther for your little project you will want to place  your store bought hair clips on a clean surface. (  I took a set of black hair clips  pre made with very light glitter on it, I tried to get plain black clips but this is all that was available.

3. Next I placed them ontop of a clean area, and aplied my first glitter nail polish color.

4. Apply a light coat on top of each hair clip, make sure that as you are applying your nail polish you are blowing ontiop of it and use your fingers to separate them so that they do not get stuck together.

5. I applied a second coat after they have dried. 6. Next I move on to my other nail polish color, and use the same method of blowing onto the clips as I apply the polish. 7. Lastly I place the Finish Hair clips on a clean area to dry off.

There you go, now you have your very own “Glitter Hair Clips”  I hope that you guys like this DIY and let me know what other DIY you may want me to do…..

The best makeup for a work day…..!!!

It”s Monday morning and back to work we go, but what kind of look should you have for your work day?
Should it be bold, neutral, no make up at all, or just really light coverage and makeup? Well I personally think that it really depends on the kind of job you have. I mean it would be really over doing it to wear heavy makeup if you work at a law firm or a school. So my first tip would be to asses your occupation, and keep it simple, remember with makeup ” less is more”
My daily work look consists of only a few things: I start off by of course cleansing my face, then I put on Tinted moisturiser by Mark. all over my face. The tinted moisturiser gives very minimal coverage and has a very nice glow, it is really light and looks natural. Next I apply a light shade of eyeshadow to my eyelids (usually a neutral color like biscotti or a warm pink or peach color), then I add a bit of a darker shade in the crease of my eyelid. Next I apply two coats of Scanda-lash Mascara from Mark. to my eyelashes. I usually try not to wear eyeliner on my lash line for work because it make my look more natural. On my apples of my cheeks I apply a light blush, or golden bronzer. And finally I finish my look with Glow Baby Glow lipgloss in Pink Crush by Mark. This gloss is awesome I absolutely  love it, it really moisturises your lips, its really light and it”s not greasy or oily.
so there you have it, a nice striking look for work, its not too over the top, and it really adds sophistication abd class to your look. Of course you can use a lot of other colors, but I would say keep it simple for work thar way when it”s time to go out for with friends or hang out you can Change up your look and make it a bit more fun, flirty, and dramatic, and you won”t be stuck with the same boring look 24/7.

So it’s winter time….

Well winter is here and I know that everyone can’t wait for spring to get here, including me….lol….but unfortunately  we still have to wait a few more months. Till then I guess we have to stick to wearing tights, scarfs, turtlenecks and alot of layers. I personally like winter because I get to play with alot of pieces of clothing and accessories to make up my outfit. Just because its winter doesn’t mean that you have to look frumpy and dull, you can play up with your accessories to brighten up your look.

If I’m going out just to run errands, I would throw on some jeans, a sweater, boots and I like to wear leg warmers/leggings/tights that either match the color of my scarf or makeup. The colorful leg warmers really brighten up your look. Or if I want to keep a more neutral look I just add a bright colored scarf and put on eyeshadow to match. Adding a nice bright color to your outfit really brightens up your look and makes you feel pretty. Weather it’s a pocket book, a scarf, or just brightening up your makeup you can spruse up your look and feel awesome too instead of looking dull and frumpy.

So just remember a little color goes a long way this winter…..!!!!
